My U14 team won 13-1 one game. I took all nbr 1's off the field, put in the
kid in goal who always wanted to play keeper, but has no sense of what he was doing or should be there, and the other coach still wouldn't change up his line-up. I always feel the worst for the other team's keeper because most of the issues aren't the keepers fault, but they take it to heart. BTW, we also took kids off the field so we ended up playing 3 down to the other team and still were attacking because all kids want to score goals...that is what we teach. Compassion is after the game and we teach sportsmanship to win graciously and lose graciously...which we've been on the losing end of a mis-match too.
